Three men appeared in court in the north on Tuesday after being arrested on New Year’s Eve night for shooting into the sky with rifles.
The trio were arrested at 11:55pm on New Year’s Eve in Kioneli after police saw them firing their rifles into the sky.
Police said they found three rifles and 84 cartridges, 49 of which were empty, on the men.
On Tuesday, the trio were charged with illegally carrying, using and discharging firearms, and shooting firearms in a residential area.
They were each released on a 15,000TL (€460) bail, with each required to find two guarantors to sign a bond of 200,000TL (€6,139).
