A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Karavostasi in the north on Wednesday after stabbing two men in the village’s industrial site.

The incident occurred at about 9:15am, when the boy and a friend engaged in an argument with three men aged between 30 and 45 years old.

The argument descended into a fight, and the boy then pulled out a knife and stabbed two of the three men.

The pair who had been stabbed were taken to northern Nicosia’s Dr Burhan Nalbantoglu hospital and are being kept under observation.

The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
