The Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS) and the Great Britain-Cyprus Business Association (GBCY) have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen business connections and opportunities between companies in the UK and Cyprus.
The partnership was confirmed after a meeting on January 5, 2024, between Pambos Kammas, Director of Standardisation at CYS, and Savvas Kyriakides, Founder and President of GBCY.
The collaboration aims to provide GBCY members access to the services and solutions offered by CYS, promoting progress towards a safer and more sustainable future while enhancing overall competitiveness and performance.
The key objectives of this alliance include enhancing networking opportunities for GBCY members in the field of standardisation, providing access to industry-specific trends, and delivering up-to-date information on market standards.
The goal is to improve the quality, safety, and integrity of products, services, and processes through these efforts.
Participating entities will also engage in local and international business events, webinars, and training sessions, contributing to knowledge-sharing and best practice standards in the business landscape.
The collaboration aligns with GBCY’s commitment to promoting networking opportunities for companies in UK and Cyprus and resonates with CYS’s vision to elevate the level of quality in various sectors through the promotion and implementation of standards.
The joint statement issued by CYS and GBCY emphasises the natural alignment of the two organisations, both sharing common goals and a commitment to building a strong and scalable strategic partnership.
The collaboration is expected to create collaborations among stakeholders, enhancing overall performance, sustainable development, and resilience in the evolving business environment.
