Junior Achievement startup launched

Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA Cyprus) is launching its JA StartUp, which is aimed at fostering business ideas and innovation among university students in Cyprus, for the fifth consecutive year.

It provides students with the practical experience to develop, operate, and navigate the challenges of running their own business. Open to all university students in Cyprus, this initiative has successfully engaged over 20,000 students across Europe.

JA StartUp offers a practical platform for participants to engage in entrepreneurship, offering real-world insights and skills necessary for their future careers. It is cost-free and includes a National Competition where the top 10 teams showcase their business ideas to a live audience and a panel of judges.

The winning team will have the opportunity to represent Cyprus at Gen-E, the largest entrepreneurship event in Europe, set to be held in Catania, Italy. Participants can expect a broad business education, prizes, mentorship from professionals in the business world, access to an educational platform with extensive resources, expert webinars, networking prospects, and more.

Backing the program are key sponsors ASBIS, MetLife, and the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF). Students can register for the programme by completing the form available until February 19, 2024.
