Knife attack in Lakatamia by former boyfriend

The woman was taken to the police station to report the incident and then to the hospital for necessary medical examinations.

A 49-year-old Greek Cypriot woman was attacked at knifepoint in her own home in Lakatamia by former boyfriend on Monday morning.

The 46-year-old Greek Cypriot man beat her and fled the scene after another person entered the house.

Police said he persistently demanded that the woman open the door before breaking it down.

It is also reported that the aggressor had previously sent threatening messages to the victim and raised concerns about her safety to the police.

Despite the victim’s complaint to authorities, no action was taken.

The woman, accompanied by a third person, was taken to the police station to report the incident and then to the hospital for necessary medical examinations.

The suspect is currently under investigation for assault, threats, and illegal home entry.
