Larnaca District Court remanded a 28-year-old man for six days for falsely identifying himself at the airport, after he was found lying on the ground.

According to police, the man was found lying on the ground at the airport on Monday. Police approached the man to check him and asked him to present his ID.

Police said that the man then presented a passport from an EU country, which appeared valid, but belonged to another.

The man was then arrested for presenting a false ID.

Police said that the man is of Arab decent and does not have permanent stay in Cyprus.

According to CNA’s information, the man was also found with a notebook that had writing and designs in it, which are being examined by police.

The same sources told the news agency that the designs did not appear to be buildings, excluding the chance of a terror attack.

The man was taken to court on Tuesday and remanded.
