The Paphos tourism development board (Etap) on Wednesday announced various undertakings aimed at boosting tourism to the Akamas region communities.

Ongoing experiential workshops, smart signs, and audiovisual material on social media, are some of the offerings on hand.

Sponsored experiential craft workshops in Droushia will be held until the end of August, Etap said, and a promotional film for the Kathikas Avifauna and Flora centre has been released, as well as dubbed versions of educational films for the Innia Turtle Museum.

German, Polish and Russian language versions are now available.

Smart signs have been installed at five spots in Neo Chorio, Droushia and Arodes, with funds secured for digital upgrades.

The creation of an official Akamas website is also underway, set to be ready in November.

The initiatives are part of the measures for development of the Akama communities announced by President Nikos Christodoulides, and are financially supported by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
