A 25-year-old Israeli national was remanded in court on Thursday over an ongoing investigation for misusing Greek Cypriot property in the north.

He was arrested a day earlier at Paphos airport where he was slated to travel to another EU country.

On Thursday, Nicosia district court remanded him for five days in connection with charges related to money laundering, suspicious transactions in real estate and use of land registered to another person.

The criminal investigation department (CID) in police headquarters in Nicosia continues investigations.
