Greek music stars bring their summer tours to the island
The end of the mid-August holidays may signal the end of summer for many but in reality, that’s far from the truth. With hot temperatures lasting until September and the events agenda still rich, the summer mood is still on. This August and September, several renowned artists from Greece are travelling to Cyprus to perform live at stunning locations, adding to why summer in Cyprus never ends.
Larnaca will welcome Greek superstar Despina Vandi on August 30, in a concert that celebrates her 30-year music career. Held at the Pattihion Amphitheatre Larnaca, Vandi will perform her all-time classics and beloved hits, joined by the Kings band.
Come September, two more favourite Greek artists will perform in Cyprus, together on stage. Kostis Maraveyas and Panos Mouzourakis will take the stage twice next month. First performing as part of SeptemberFest in Nicosia on September 3 and then in concert in Limassol two days later.
Soon after, Marina Satti will return to the island for more shows, following her July performances. This time, she will greet fans at Nicosia’s School of the Blind on September 10 and at Limassol’s Marios Tokas Garden Theatre the following evening.
Up next will be a renowned singer from the Greek music scene who will present three concerts at one of Cyprus’ most stunning locations. Giannis Parios’ concerts on September 12, 13 and 14 will take place at Ancient Curium and some tickets are left.
Then, Cypriot singer Alkinoos Ioannides will tour rural Cyprus along with four other Cypriot musicians to perform live. Along with Marios Takoushis, Lefteris Moumtzis, Yiannis Koutis and Nikolas Tsangaris, Ioannides will perform at the Pissouri Amphitheatre on September 20, the Lympia Community Park Theatre on September 21, the Deryneia Municipal Amphitheatre on September 27 and finally, at the Tala Amphitheatre in Paphos on September 28.
Meanwhile, another collaborative concert will be taking place around the island. Miltos Paschalides and Giannis Kotsiras, along with their steady collaborators, will hold two concerts in September. First at Larnaca’s Pattihion Amphitheatre on September 24 and then at Nicosia’s Amphitheatre Lakatamia on September 27.
Finally, to end the summer with a lively music party, the Greek band Melisses will put on two shows in Larnaca on September 27 and 28. The band will perform live at the Garden Theatre with Elena Paparizou as the guest star amplifying the summer party mood!
