England’s interim manager Lee Carsley named uncapped Angel Gomes, Tino Livramento, Morgan Gibbs-White and Noni Madueke in his first squad on Thursday.
Carsley, appointed interim manager following Gareth Southgate’s resignation after the recent European Championship, has left out defender Kyle Walker while left back Luke Shaw and midfielder Jude Bellingham were unavailable due to injury.
Striker Ivan Toney and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale have also been left out of the squad while forward Jack Grealish and centre back Harry Maguire earned recalls.
Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier announced his retirement from international football earlier on Thursday, shortly before the squad was revealed.
England will play Ireland in Dublin on Sept. 7 and Finland at Wembley three days later in the Nations League.
