A 57-year-old man was found dead in the early hours of Monday after falling from his balcony.

According to a police statement, the incident occurred at around 12.40am, when the man was discovered unconscious by his wife outside their home, beneath a balcony approximately four metres high.

An ambulance was called to the scene, and the man was taken to the Paphos general hospital’s A&E department, where he was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctor.

Police officers arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
