A 41-year-old man in Paphos has been fined for failing to comply with a game warden’s signal and has been charged with the illegal possession and transportation of explosives found in his car.

According to police, the incident occurred around 8am on Tuesday in Theletra, when officers from the game service signalled for the driver to stop. The man initially failed to comply but was eventually stopped, and his car was searched.

During the search, officers discovered 149 intact Flaubert cartridges. As a result, the wardens issued an out-of-court fine of €2,000 for failing to stop when signalled.
