A fire broke out near Kourris dam and the fire and forestry departments have contained it and are struggling to put it out in an area difficult to access.
Fire department spokesman Andres Kettis said in a post on X that five fire trucks were in the area, including one from the forestry department.
The fire is burning dry grass, wild vegetation and some trees in the riverbed.
Winds in the area are accelerating the spread of the fire.
