The annual Christmas ‘Paramythoupoli’ winter wonderland will return to the car park below Nicosia’s walled city’s D’Avila bastion this year, the Nicosia municipality announced on Friday.

As such, the car park will be closed to the public between November 1 and January 20, with the municipality saying this is being done to “embolden the festive atmosphere in the city for young and old”.

Holders of monthly prepaid cars for the car park are asked to use the car parks atop the Tripoli bastion, near the Podocattaro bastion, and atop the Costanza bastion next to the Bayraktar mosque, except for on Wednesdays and Sundays when the produce market is held in the car park.

Alternatively, they may suspend their card until January 20 and use the time they have paid for thereafter.
