Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel is on an official visit to Cyprus on Tuesday.
Bettel, who is also the country’s deputy prime minister, will have a private meeting with Foreign Minister Costantinos Kombos. The two men will discuss bilateral relations, the Cyprus problem, issues related to the European agenda, and current regional and international developments, with a focus on the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine.
He also met with President Nikos Christodoulides.
The two foreign ministers will also be participating in a debate as keynote speakers, about European integration and the role of the small member states of the European Union, organised on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Cyprus’ accession to the EU. The event is taking place at the University of Cyprus.
