Decent living standards and the problems faced by pensioners in mountainous and other areas were the focus of discussions on Tuesday at a preparatory meeting for the 25th session of the Elders’ Parliament.

The social welfare committee of the Elders’ Parliament submitted its report to the House labour committee, outlining the problems faced by senior citizens and recommendations on how to solve them.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the labour, interior, finance, education, welfare and digital policy ministries and deputy ministries, who referred to existing actions and those in the pipeline.

The requests will be presented in more detail during the 25th session to be held on November 25. It will be presided over by the House president.
