Continuing the huge success, on both a social and artistic level, of the charity initiative “Follow Your Art”, IKEA Cyprus is proud to announce that the preparations for this year’s event are under way, with the participation of undergrads from the Fine and Applied Arts departments of the country’s leading universities.
Students taking part have already received the IKEA products they are to transform, and begun the process of putting their creativity and talent toward making each item a unique piece of art.
Being organised for a second year, the aim of this initiative is to promote and highlight the artistic expression of a new generation of creators. Held once again under the auspices of the Education Ministry, undergrads have been invited to transform selected IKEA products using their imagination and artistry.
The students’ creations will be exhibited at Nicosia’s Leventis Gallery, and thereafter auctioned, with all proceeds again supporting the “Hope for Children” charity organisation.
The drive has become an important institution for IKEA Cyprus, strengthening its contribution to the local community, while giving young artists a chance to showcase their talent and work.
This year, the bar has been raised even higher, while anticipation is even greater for the second “Follow your Art” initiative, as both the number of entries and days of duration of this special exhibition have increased.
More information on the date and details of the show will be announced soon.
