A food collection campaign for needy people in Limassol will start on December 9.

Limassol municipality announced on Monday that the food collection campaign is intended for the beneficiaries of the municipality’s social grocery, with the aim of offering hope to those who need a helping hand.

They invite organisations, schools, companies and organised groups to support their campaign by participating in the food collection by arranging their own food and basic goods collection.

The Social Grocery is collecting all kinds of pasta and pulses, canned tuna, meat, tomato juice, cookies, chocolates, sweets, cereals, oil, sugar, flour, long-life milk, personal hygiene items (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, sanitary napkins), washing powder, coffee, baby foods and milks, baby diapers, adult diapers and baby wipes as well as toys.

The goods will be collected at the Limassol Social Grocery on the corner of Filellinon and Mouson Streets, from December 9 to 12 and from 8.00am to 2.0pm.
