Paphos police have arrested a 24-year-old man suspected of burglary and theft at a construction site.

The case refers to a break-in at an onsite warehouse in the Petra tou Romiou area on October 22 during which a set of tools was stolen.

On November 28, after a tip-off, Limassol police conducted a search at a residence in Pissouri where various tools were found, some of which were identified as having come from the construction site.

Police secured an arrest warrant for the 41-year-old owner of the residence who was already in custody related to another case being investigated by Limassol police.

The older suspect in a statement to police said he’d bought the tools for €800 from a 24-year-old man from Paphos.

On Monday afternoon, the younger man was arrested in Paphos.
