A 24-year-old man was arrested at Paphos airport on Monday after insulting a police officer who asked him to move his car.

According to police, the man had parked his vehicle outside departures and was blocking the traffic flow.

The officer asked him to move his car and he complied but then went back and began shouting abuse at the policeman, which continued after police decided to arrest him.

He is facing charges of causing a disturbance, insulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
