A 46-year-old man who walked into the Limassol courthouse on Wednesday with a handful of pistol cartridges was arrested on the spot.
Police said the man entered the courthouse at 10.30am and set off the screening alarm.
Members of the private security company at the courthouse found four bullets in the small bag the man was carrying.
Police were called to the scene and found four complete 9mm pistol cartridges.
The 46-year-old was arrested and taken in for questioning.
