Eurobank Cyprus received the Voluntary Service Award at the traditional event and reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Cyprus and the First Lady on the occasion of International Volunteer Day, celebrated annually on December 5.
The awards are part of the competition organised by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC), which aims to reward individuals and organisations for their long-standing social contribution, and to strengthen the value of volunteering.
The award ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace on December 3, 2024 and the honour was presented by President Nikos Christodoulides and PVCC Chairman Elias Demetriou to Eurobank Cyprus Head of Marketing Valia Tsiakala.
“We are very happy and proud to be honoured with the Voluntary Giving Award as it confirms the commitment, values and dedication of Eurobank Cyprus and its staff to actively participate in social giving activities,” said Tsiakala, commenting on the distinction. “As an organisation, we have been implementing a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility programme over time, combining business activity with support for the economy and the creation of additional value to Cypriot society.”
Eurobank Cyprus has established a volunteer team of employees called TeamUp, which, in 2024, dedicated 928 volunteering hours towards protecting the environment and supporting those in need.
