A 25-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning after having been found spraying graffiti on a roundabout next to the Ammochostos stadium in Larnaca.

The police said they had spotted “a group of 15 young men” spraying graffiti on the walls near the stadium shortly after 3am.

When they returned to the area, they found around 50 hooded men who “were not committing any offences”.

However, the 25-year-old man was stood at the roundabout spraying graffiti onto it, and as such was arrested.

The Ammochostos stadium is home to Cypriot first division club Nea Salamina.
