Two cars were destroyed by fire outside a residence in Limassol on Monday, the fire service said.
It is thought the fire in Zakaki was maliciously started in a vehicle owned by a 29-year-old woman, driven by her husband, owner of a transport and customs clearance company.
The fire spread to a second car owned by a relative.
“The fire started from the upper part of the vehicle and, at first glance, it appears to have been started maliciously,” the fire service said.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters while the scene was cordoned off by police for on-site examinations.
The first vehicle, worth €23,000, was destroyed, while the second, worth approximately €7,000, had extensive damages.
