The interior ministry offered €7,000 worth of vouchers to support vulnerable families over the holidays, it was announced on Wednesday.

The vouchers, were provided by the staff of various departments and services of the interior ministry’s, for the annual campaign supporting vulnerable families called ‘Adopt a family for Christmas’ by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinating Council.

The council’s chairman Elias Demetriou received the vouchers from the Interior Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Elikkos Elia on Tuesday, thanking staff for their generosity.

This is the 11th year the volunteerism coordinating council is implementing the campaign to help vulnerable families feel the joy of Christmas by providing them with the essentials for this festive season.
