A group of about 15 young people caused a fire in an abandoned metalsmith’s in the early hours of Saturday, next to a building housing agricultural workers.

Nobody was injured.

A police spokesman told the Cyprus Mail that at around 1am on Saturday, in the Kolossi area of Limassol, a group of ten to 15 young people threw stones, firecrackers and incendiary devices in the direction of three idle metalwork machines, which were in an open shed.

The machinery belongs to a 60-year-old man.

Workers in the agricultural sector are housed in a building next door.

Episkopi police and Limassol crime squad are investigating the incident.
