Events continue throughout the peak of festive celebrations

The big day is almost here. It is nearly time for big juicy feasts, ample wine, champagne and time with loved ones. Besides the Christmas day lunches and gift giving, this period is packed with events to enjoy. If you are looking for something to do on December 24 and 25 and how to celebrate the season on the town there is plenty going on.

In downtown Nicosia, BrewFellas will host a Christmas Eve party, also celebrating its 14th birthday. The fun will begin early and end early. Head there between 12.30am and 8pm for fresh pours, Caribbean food and music by the Roots Crew Soundsystem.

Over at Sarah’s Jazz Club, a special Christmas Eve live is planned with singer Charlotte Storer, bassist Irinaeos Koullouras, saxophonist Charis Ioannou, pianist Dimitris Miaris and drummer Marios Spyrou. Accompanying the live jazz and festive tunes will be a special menu of avgolemono soup and charcuterie boards for a cosy night at the downtown jazz bar.

Mikri Arktos will host a bazaar on December 24, from 2pm to 7pm, for any last-minute Christmas shopping. Held at its intimate venue in Nicosia’s old town, the bazaar will feature a handful of local artists selling their creations.

In more of a party mood, Monsieur Doumani organise their annual Christmas fiesta on December 24, held again at Antonakis Music Hall. Get ready for singing and dancing as the Zygia duet performs Cretan music, comedian Champis addresses the crowd and DJ Radio Pangea keeps partygoers on their feet all night long.

On Christmas Day, more events arrive to keep you busy throughout the day, post the big Christmas lunch. Lost+Found Drinkery starts the celebrations early with a party commencing at 6pm and lasting until late. Signature cocktails and music by LPS will be offered all night long.

In Limassol, an even bigger party will take place at ETKO. The Christmas Fiesta will have several stages that will host seven artists from around the world, blending festive sounds and electronic beats. Through the party, which begins at 6pm, mulled wine will be served alongside immersive performances.

Another party will be blasting throughout oldtown Limassol on Christmas Day as Mason Bar hosts its own festive fiesta. The DJ line-up for the evening includes Millero & Alt Control, T-Puse and Pazzi & Pan who promise to ignite the party for a Christmas night to remember. Happy holidays!
