Fire at Limassol house, residents in hospital
At least five people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at 7am in their first-floor house in Apostolos Andreas neighbourhood in Limassol.
One person was rescued by fire fighters from the outside of the building, while the other four exited through the main entrance.
All five were taken to hospital for examinations.
Fire Department spokesman Andreas Kettis said the fire started in a room and spread to the rest of the house, causing extensive damage.
It appears that the residents were asleep when the fire broke out, according to philenews.
Three fire engines, two police cars and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage will be investigated later on Tuesday.
