UCLan Cyprus University once again hosts the photography exhibition Exploring Cyprus: Beyond the City at the Multifunctional Conference Centre in Pano Lefkara. With free entry, the exhibition offers a captivating glimpse into the 354 villages and communities of Cyprus, showcasing through the camera lens the authentic beauty, distinctive character and cultural identity of the local countryside.

The exhibition is an initiative of the Explore Cyprus team from the university comprised of academics, graduates and students from the BSc (Hons) Web Design & Development programme.

The project highlights and promotes Cyprus’ rural countryside through the camera lens, revealed in a collection of photographs. 354 photos make up the showcase which were collected after visiting 354 villages and communities, on both sides of the line. The exhibition allows viewers to meander through well-known and unknown villages throughout Cyprus, revealing the island’s special character and identity.
