More snow is likely to fall in the mountains on Saturday, with clouds covering most of the island and rain set to fall on lower ground, particularly in the west and north.

At present, the depth of snow at Troodos square is one centimetre.

Temperatures are set to rise to a high of 16 degrees Celsius inland, 18 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and six degrees Celsius in the mountains.

Overnight, the skies will clear, with temperatures set to drop to a chilly five degrees Celsius inland, eight degrees Celsius on the coasts, and minus two degrees Celsius in the mountains.

On Sunday, clouds will return, with rain in low ground and more snow forecast in the mountains, while Monday will be much the same.

Temperatures will drop through Sunday and Monday, before seeing a slight uptick on Tuesday.
