Light rains and thunderstorms are possible on Sunday afternoon as the island is caught up in a low pressure system that will also see strong winds.

Temperatures will rise to a modest 16C inland, 18C on the coast and 9C in the mountains.

It may well feel cooler on the peaks though as snow in Troodos square was recorded at a depth of 21cm.

Overnight temperature will drop to 7C inland, 10C on the coast and 3C up the mountains.

On Monday and Tuesday the weather will remain mostly clear with the development of some cloud.
