A fire broke out on Sunday night in the bedroom of a two-storey house in Chlorakas.
According to a post by fire service spokesperson Andreas Kettis on X, the Paphos fire station responded to the incident at 8.25pm with two fire trucks.
Investigations revealed that the fire was caused by lit candles in the bedroom. The flames caused damage to the room and its contents, while smoke affected the upper floor of the house.
Due to the swift response of the firefighting team, the fire was contained within the bedroom and no injuries were reported.
