Two British bases’ police officers have received the UK’s ‘Overseas Territories Police Medal’.
Britain’s King Charles’ New Year’s Honours List awarded chief inspector Melina Papagregoriou and superintendent Constandinos Petrou for their exceptional contributions to policing the bases.
“I am truly humbled and grateful to be the recipient of the Overseas Territories Police Medal. It is a recognition of all the hard work and dedication throughout my 27-year career, motivating me to continue my work,” Papagregoriou said.
Superintendent Petrou, with 28-years of experience, is involved in advancing community safeguarding initiatives.
“I am profoundly honoured and grateful to have been awarded by His Majesty King Charles III for my contributions to safeguarding, policing and public safety,” Petrou said.
Both officers will receive their award later this year during an official ceremony.
