Lidl Cyprus, remaining true to its timeless corporate values, is continuing its consistent efforts to support and strengthen the important work the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society. Within this framework, during a press conference held on January 16, 2025, at the Society’s offices in Nicosia, the company presented the charity with a cheque for €108.307,80. This amount will go towards the Nutritional Programme of the “Arodaphnousa” Palliative Care Centre and the creation of a leisure area for Centre visitors.

The funds were raised with the public’s valuable contribution to Lidl’s “We give great joy with just one small gesture” campaign, whereby, over December 16-29, 2024, with each scan of the Lidl Plus digital card, the company donated €0.60 to the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society. Specifically, during this period, a total of 180.513 scans were carried out, from which a total amount of €108.307,80 was collected.

In addition, Lidl Cyprus has carried out a range of other actions and fundraising activities to support the Anti-Cancer Society. The company, for over a decade, remains actively on the side of cancer patients by supporting the efforts of the Society, with a total contribution exceeding €1 million.
For almost 15 years, Lidl Cyprus has stood by Cypriot society, demonstrating its continuous commitment to making a social contribution, supporting organisations and actions that strengthen its vision for a better tomorrow for all.
