Friday will be partly cloudy with isolated rains expected and a chance of a brief storm in the mountains and areas to the west and south. Temperatures will rise to 16C inland, 18C on the coast, and 7C in the higher mountains. On the peaks of Troodos, snowfall or sleet is expected. Winds will be mainly north-to-south-easterly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.
Overnight increased cloudiness will be observed and isolated rains are expected on the coast. Light snow or sleet is likely to fall in Troodos. Fog or mist is expected inland and in the east with visibility affected. Temperatures will drop to 6C inland, 9C on the coast, and 2C in the higher mountains, where frost will form. Winds will be north-westerly to north-easterly and on the north coast, south-easterly, weak, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Over the weekend the weather will remain cloudy with local rains and isolated storms, initially in the west and progressively over the rest of the island. Snow or sleet fall will continue in the highest peaks of Troodos.
After Saturday evening phenomena will be limited mainly to coastal areas, where they may be prolonged. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Sunday, continuing to fluctuate close to the seasonal norms.
The rainy spell is expected to continue into Monday.
