Police arrested a 24-year-old man on Sunday in connection with ongoing investigations into a case of child pornography.

Investigations began after a Europol tipoff that an online app user had uploaded a video containing the sexual abuse of a child.

A police probe led to the 24-year-old, who was arrested before noon on Sunday.

His mobile phone was confiscated for forensic examination.

The suspect was placed in custody and police are investigating possession and access to child pornography.
