A Limassol couple was taken to the hospital after suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning at home.

They were reportedly found unconscious in serious condition and were immediately transferred to Paphos general hospital.

State health services organisation (Okypy) spokesperson Charalambos Charilaou said the couple had been using an outdoor stove inside their home, which was most likely the cause of the poisoning.

At the hospital, they received hyperbaric oxygen therapy and were later discharged after treatment.
