The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Cyprus held a reception on the occasion of the 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day, on February 25, 2025 at the Hilton Nicosia.

The ceremony was attended by Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, representing the Cyprus government and as guest of honour. Several other Cypriot officials were also in attendance, including the health minister, the police chief, the Cypriot national guard chief, the former foreign minister, as well as heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Cyprus.

In his address, His Excellency Abdullah Musaed Al-Khorafi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, praised the distinguished relations between Kuwait and Cyprus since its establishment in 1961 until now. He also valued Cyprus positions in support of just Arab issues, and the Republic’s support for stability and peace in the Middle East. Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Khorafi reaffirmed the position of the State of Kuwait in support of just Cypriot concerns.
