A Cyprus-Greece business forum, which took place in Nicosia this week, focused on the importance of enhancing trade and investment relations between the two countries.

According to a statement by the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (Oev), “a key measure of the forum’s success was the 250 business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Greek and Cypriot companies”.

These meetings provided participants with the opportunity to showcase their products and services while exploring potential collaborations in the fields of industry, technology, information technology, energy, environmental management, and construction.

“This initiative is part of Oev’s ongoing efforts to promote the outward orientation of Cypriot businesses and to strengthen their partnerships with international counterparts”, the statement added.

The forum was organised by Oev in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (Sev), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Evea), the Association of Exporters (Seve), and Enterprise Greece.

The event was attended by Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tasos Chatzivasiliou, Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Openness of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dimitris Skalkos, Greek Ambassador to Cyprus Ioannis Papameletiou, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Ambassador Andreas Kakouris, and Oev President Antonis Antoniou.
