Sometimes, life presents young people with unexpected challenges that disrupt their dreams of life. Recognising the difficulties of such disruptions, Unilever Tseriotis Cyprus and ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets have joined forces in yet another act of social responsibility, supporting 10 students who have faced life-threatening illnesses and now have the opportunity to dream again.

Through purchases of Unilever products, available exclusively at ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets during specific periods throughout the year, part of the expenses for the studies of 10 young individuals—who have emerged victorious in their battles against serious illnesses—will be covered. These students are now ready to breathe life back into their dreams for the future. The first phase of this initiative will run from March 20 to April 2, 2025.

This social action is being carried out in collaboration with the Cyprus Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases, “One Dream One Wish”.

The new initiative was communicated to media representatives at a recent press conference held at the University of Nicosia.

Ioannis Koumparou, Head of Shopper Marketing at Unilever Tseriotis Cyprus, saluted the initiative. “The threat to the lives of young people is, in itself, a deeply moving reality. That is why we are both touched and proud to once again join forces with ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets in a new act of social responsibility and meaningful contribution, supporting the mission of the Pancyprian Association ‘One Dream One Wish.’ Our goal is to improve the lives of those who need it most, simply through the purchase of everyday household products,” he said.

Similarly, Natasa Konstantinidou, Chief Communications and CSR Officer of ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets, expressed her joy for this new collaboration with such a noble cause. She emphasised the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting society, its goals, and the dreams of all citizens.

Additionally, George Penintaex, President of the “One Dream One Wish” Association, highlighted the significance of Unilever and ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets’ contribution, both to the charitable work of the Association and to the students who have battled cancer. He stressed that such support offers these young individuals the opportunity to grow in life and turn their dreams into reality.
