A 26-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday on arrival at Larnaca airport with over 16kg of cannabis in her luggage.

The police said on X that the passenger’s luggage was searched in cooperation with the customs department after a tip-off.

The suspect will be taken before the Larnaca district court on Thursday for a remand order.
