The Bank of Cyprus (BOC) received two important honours at the 2025 excellence awards held by the prestigious international magazine Euromoney, ranking it as the Best Private Bank in Cyprus. Both awards highlighted the Bank’s exceptional Private and Affluent banking services.

The Euromoney Private Banking Awards ceremony, held on March 27, 2025, at London’s Savoy Hotel, saw BOC top the “Cyprus’ Best Private Bank” and “Cyprus’ Best for High-Net-Worth Individuals” categories.

The esteemed international magazine positively evaluated the quality features of the Cypriot lender’s products and services, ranking it top once again, and reaffirming its comparative advantages and leading position in the Cypriot banking system. A key factor in the Bank’s recognition was its innovative PrivilEDGE Value Proposition, which meets the modern era’s unique needs, redefining customer service for high-net-worth clients. PrivilEDGE provides exclusive investment solutions, personalised relationship management, unique privileges, and lifestyle benefits, ensuring an upgraded banking experience, tailored to clients’ individual financial goals.

Christos M. Ioannou, Head of Private and Affluent Banking at the Bank of Cyprus, expressed satisfaction with the Bank’s latest accolades. “It is particularly honourable, not only for the Bank of Cyprus but also for our country, when our performance, efforts, and progress are recognised by international institutions,” he noted. “It is an important international recognition that makes us proud. The Bank of Cyprus, as the largest financial organisation in Cyprus, has always been and continues to be committed to supporting the Cypriot economy. We continue with the same zeal to provide top-notch service, maintaining the same level of dedication and excellence.”

He added the distinction reflected BOC’s ongoing commitment to offer clients “exceptional and upgraded banking services, tailored investment strategies and solutions, and a highly-personalised service approach. Through PrivilEDGE Value Proposition, the bank continues to enhance its service offerings ensuring that its clients receive the highest level of expertise and support in managing their wealth.”
