Two suspects, aged 33 and 28, arrested in connection with a house burglary in Nicosia, the theft of a motorcycle, and other offences, are to be remanded by the Nicosia district court on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old was arrested after part of the stolen property – valued at over €5,000 from the April 22 burglary – was found during a search of his home. He faces charges of illegal possession of property.

During the investigation, the second suspect, a 28-year-old man, was located on a motorcycle that had been reported stolen in Nicosia on April 18.

He was arrested for in flagrante delicto offences.

The suspects later directed police to a storage area near the 33-year-old’s home, where various items believed to be linked to other burglaries were discovered, including multiple house and vehicle keys.

Both individuals admitted to the Nicosia burglary during questioning. The 33-year-old also confessed to the theft of a car in Limassol, while the 28-year-old admitted to stealing the motorcycle and another vehicle, which he had abandoned and which was later located by police.

Police investigations are ongoing.
