President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas starts a three-day official visit to Cyprus on Wednesday, at the invitation of President Nikos Christodoulides, his first visit abroad since he assumed his duties.
On Wednesday afternoon, Tasoulas will be officially welcomed at the presidential palace, where he will meet with Christodoulides and hold official talks with the participation of delegations from both countries, followed by statements to the press.
An official dinner will be hosted in Tasoulas’ honour in the evening.
On Thursday, Tasoulas will meet with Nicosia mayor Charalambos Prountzos and tour the ceasefire line with Christodoulides.
He will also meet with Archbishop George of Cyprus and House President Annita Demetriou and will address the House plenum.
On the same day, he will visit the Greek armed forces (Eldyk) army camp in Malounta and the ‘imprisoned graves’ of Eoka fighters in Nicosia.
On Friday, Tasoulas will hold meetings with parliamentary party leaders and representatives of organisations and will visit the Makedonitissa war memorial.
He will depart from Cyprus later on Friday.
