Four teenagers arrested for unruly behaviour and throwing firecrackers in Livadia on the evening of Holy Saturday will appear before the criminal court on June 23, court decided on Friday.
The decision follows the arrest on Thursday afternoon of the fourth suspect, aged 17.
For the same case, police arrested three other teenagers, aged 17, 16 and 15. Those arrested were made on April 30, following the outbreak of the incident on April 19.
The four minors are being investigated for offences relating to conspiracy to commit a felony, rioting, assault on an officer, possession of offensive instruments and illegal possession of explosives.
The Larnaca district court on Friday ruled that the four minors will be released until the date of the trial.
At around 30 minutes after midnight on Easter Sunday morning, police were called to a specific area in Livadia, where young people were gathered, who reportedly threw firecrackers, flares and other objects at passing drivers.
When police arrived they were allegedly attacked by the youths, who threw firecrackers, fireworks, stones and other objects at them.
The police officers, using tear gas, managed to restore order, with the young people fleeing, in various directions.
The latest teen arrested was allegedly spotted possessing and throwing firecrackers.
