Melissa Elizondo Moreno’s El Sembrador will be presented on May 23, showing how a teacher became somewhat of a father to his community and made the school a second home for children.

Opening June’s films, on the 6th of the month, is Bajo Terapia by Gerardo Herrero; a film about three couples who decide to go group therapy together and their psychologist urges them to wash their dirty laundry in public.

Road 47 by Vicente Ferraz is a Brazilian film about the unusual encounter between three deserters from different nationalities (Brazil, Germany and Italy) during World War II. It will be screened on June 13. Finally, El Benny, by Jorge Luis Sánchez, will wrap up the festival with a fictional story based on the life of the famous Cuban musician Benny Moré.
