Summer temperatures will sweep the island on Saturday as the weather is influenced by a very warm air mass, causing temperatures to rise around five to nine degrees above normal for this time of year.
Overall, the weekend will begin with hazy conditions, followed by clearer skies as the day progresses. Dust levels are expected to rise throughout the day, with the chance of a few muddy raindrops by evening.
In the inland lowland, temperatures will range between 35 and 38C, with a few places potentially reaching up to 39.
Coastal regions will be slightly cooler, with around 30 to 33C. In mountainous areas the weather is expected to stay mild at around 24C.
By Sunday, a moderate to strong westerly wind will sweep through the island during the midday and afternoon hours, causing a drop in temperatures across most areas, except for the south and east, where a slight rise is expected.
The dust in the atmosphere is set to gradually shift east by Sunday evening.
Monday will see temperatures drop back to seasonal averages with a cooler trend.
