Renowned Italian tenor Alessandro Safina is coming to Cyprus for a one-night-only performance on May 30 for a gala concert at Monte Caputo to raise money for a good cause. The event is held under the auspices of First Lady Philippa Karsera-Christodoulides, whose endorsement reflects strong support of United Rescue Cyprus and LETSHELP Foundation.

While enjoying a fascinating programme of opera and rock by the tenor on stage, guests will be supporting charitable initiatives in Cyprus, including United Rescue Cyprus, therapeutic support programmes for children, assistance for individuals with autism, and care services for the elderly.

“This gala is more than simply an evening of music,” say organisers, “it is a powerful celebration of community, compassion and positive change. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about United Rescue Cyprus, a remarkable volunteer-driven organisation providing rapid emergency aid across the island.”

While surrounded by a community spirit of giving and support, event-goers will get to enjoy ‘The Rock Star of Opera’, as Safina is often described. The tenor is renowned for his fusion of classical opera and contemporary pop, creating a genre he calls ‘rock opera’. Over the years, Safina has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Sarah Brightman, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Nicole Kidman, and has performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages. Later this month, he travels to our Mediterranean corner for a special, one-night-only show.
