With festival season beginning, there is a lot to look forward to this summer. Returning festivals at new locations, annual events continuing the same beloved tradition, but also brand-new happenings. In June and August, Cyprus’ cultural scene will welcome two new festivals: the Zero Trace Festival in Limassol and the Larnaca Cinema Festival.

Arriving first is the Zero Trace Festival, taking over two locations in Limassol on June 21 and 22. Organised by Zwa Cyprus and in collaboration with the garage community, the festival will be all about creativity and conscious living. More than just a two-day event, the festival aims to be the start of a movement to rethink waste, consumption and our impact on the planet. Vintage markets, workshops, talks and activities will be planned with the programme expected to be announced soon on @zerotracefestival.

In August, the Larnaca Cinema Society and Larnaka 2023 will bring the first edition of the Larnaca Cinema Festival. On August 29, 30 and 31, the festival will transform public spaces into cinema experiences with a series of screenings and film-themed events.
