Thursday is set to begin with early fog and low cloud in parts of the island, though this will quickly give way to clear skies and continued high temperatures.

Inland, the mercury will rise to a height of 39 degrees Celsius, while temperatures on the south and east coasts will reach 33 degrees Celsius, and temperatures on the west and north coasts and in the mountains will reach 30 degrees Celsius.

Overnight, the skies will largely remain clear, though thin fog and low cloud will be possible in some areas.

Temperatures will drop to 20 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast and 19 degrees Celsius in the mountains.

The sunny weather is set to continue on Friday and through the weekend, though with the possibility of cloud cover and even spots of isolated rain in the afternoons in the mountains.

Temperatures are expected to remain stable on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday will see lower temperatures than what has been felt this week.
